- The Department of Computer Science & Technology (DCST) was established in the year 2002, to cater the growing need of trained personnel in the field of computer.
- The department is situated at Kaji Najrul Islam Avenue (VIP Road) Kaikhali,Dum Dum with modern Computers and Highly sophisticated Electronic Laboratory in Air Conditioned premises. The duration of the course is 3 years and is approved by AICTE and affiliated by to West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
- The admission to the course is based on AICTE norms. The intake capacity of students is 60 every year, of which equal number of students are admitted in "Payment" and "Free" categories.
- The "free seats" are alloted to students who qualify through Polytechnic Joint Entrance Examination conducted by the Govt. of West Bengal. The "Payment Seats" are allotted to students on "first-come-first-served" basis, who have got qualifying marks in class - 10 Board Examination.
- The teaching staff of the Department is young and highly qualified. They take keen interest in the training and the annual results of the students are highly satisfacory.
- Eligibility for Admission :-
Should have passed Madhyamik (Class-X) with physical Science and
Mathematics securing minimum 60%in these subjects.
- Age Limit :- 17 to 21 years
